Glenn Tanzman, Former Army Captain and ASQ Mid-Hudson Section Officer
Glenn Tanzman shares his experience on Honor Flight, a program of volunteers that takes aging veterans to Washington DC to visit the monuments that were erected in their honor. It was originally started to take WWII vets to see the memorial built in their honor in 2004. Starting with 7 small planes from Ohio taking 11 vets to DC, Honor Flight has grown to taking 22,000 vets per year. The Hudson Valley Honor Flight operates 2 flights of 90 vets per year and 2 more from Westchester Airport.
Glenn will share his experiences on Mission #29 and what it meant to him and the other veterans who made the trip. With Veterans Day approaching, it is important that we remember the sacrifices our veterans made on our behalf.
